Introduction
The arrhythmias (irregular heart rates), tachycardias (rapid heart rates), and bradycardias (slow heart rates) that often develop in adults with congenital heart disease may be treated in a variety of ways. Medications may be prescribed. If these prove inadequate, then the heart's rhythm may need to be controlled through the insertion of ICDs (implantable cardioverter defibrillators) or pacemakers. |
